The Blackwell Grange Hotel is a stunning 17th Century mansion, which enjoys an enviable setting in the beautiful County Durham countryside. The hotel is nestled in wooded parkland in Darlington, located between the North Yorkshire Moors and the Pennines. Hotel facilities include a leisure club with a heated indoor swimming pool, spa and sauna. All bedrooms are ensuite and have a TV, radio, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. This hotel does not have a lift.

The Delta by Marriott, Peterborough is located in the tranquil countryside on the outskirts of Peterborough. It’s rural setting offers easy access to the countryside and all the attractions on this tour. Hotel facilities include an indoor swimming pool and gym. All bedrooms are ensuite, and have a TV, telephone, hairdryer and tea/coffee making facilities. The hotel does not have a lift as all bedrooms are ground and first floor only.

DAY 1: Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to the Blackwell Grange Hotel for a 1 night stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 2: After breakfast, we depart the hotel heading for the Delta by Marriott Peterborough for a 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 3: Our destination today is a visit to Sandringham House and Grounds, the Norfolk retreat of Her Late Majesty the Queen. We have free time to explore and obtain lunch, before returning to the hotel in the late afternoon.
DAY 4: This morning, we head to the famous University City of Cambridge where we have a full day to explore. The city has many fascinating attractions, not least of which are the many colleges. We start by meeting our guide for a tour of Cambridge ending with a visit to the American Cemetery. Afterwards, we have a chance to explore the city at leisure.
DAY 5: Our first stop today is historic Stamford for a short break, with a chance to look around the town. Later we move onto Melton Mowbray. Melton is home of the famous pork pies and is also well known for its cheeses - Stilton and Red Leicester. Sample the local delicacies, enjoy lunch and relax before we head to Oakham, County town of Rutland, England's smallest county. We have time to look around and explore the lovely little shops and boutiques.
DAY 6: After breakfast, we depart the hotel and head for our overnight stay at the Blackwell Grange Hotel for a 1 night stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 7: After breakfast, we begin our journey home.
