DAY 1: This morning, we travel from our home area to Stranraer for our overnight stay at the North West Castle Hotel dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 2: After breakfast we depart our hotel for our ferry crossing Cairnryan to Belfast. We make the journey to Enniscorthy arriving late afternoon at the Treacys Hotel. Enjoy a 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast. You will enjoy entertainment each evening.
DAY 3: Today we travel to the port town of New Ross and enjoy free time at leisure. Whilst here you could visit the Dunbrody Famine Ship or the Ros Tapestry Exhibition Centre. The town also offers a range of shops and eateries as well as a series of fantastic Art Murals found on high profile buildings. This afternoon we head for Waterford, here we board a 90 minutes River Cruise. Leaving the Adelphi Quay Marina we take in the surrounding scenery of the city and its outskirts. Along the way we are able to view the King’s Chanel, Waterford Castle and the Port of Waterford turning under the shadow of the Minaun where the Three Sisters river meet.
DAY 4: This morning is free for you to enjoy our base of Enniscorthy. Our hotel location gives easy access to the town’s attractions. Perhaps visit The National 1798 Rebellion Centre, see Enniscorthy Castle or enjoy some retail therapy browsing among the town’s shops. This afternoon we travel to Johnstown Castle, here we enjoya guided tour of the castle before having free time to enjoy the museum and gardens. We are able to learn about the neo-gothic castle’s interiors as well as the people who lived and worked there. The Agricultural Museum offers the chance to understand rural Irish lives and displays many artefacts relating to farmers and tradespeople. The Gardens and lake offer beauty and tranquillity and are not to be missed.
DAY 5: After breakfast we travel to Arklow, this charming little town is situated at the mouth of the Avoca River and overlooked by Ballymoyle Hill. With a rich maritime heritage why not visit the devoted Museum or take a walk by the fishing port. This afternoon we visit the famous Mount Usher Gardens. Voted ‘Best Garden to visit in Ireland’ by BBC Gardeners’ World Magazine, Criss-crossed
with dainty footbridges, the River Vartry flows through the centre of this authentic Robinsonian garden, with its enviable collection of trees, shrubs and plants.
DAY 6: We depart our hotel this morning, journeying through Ireland to Armagh and our overnight stay at the Armagh City Hotel dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 7: Following breakfast we leave our hotel to continue with the ferry from Belfast to Cairnryan..
