DAY 1: Departing from your home area in the morning, we head to the Royal Whitby Hotel, Whitby. Enjoy a 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 2: This morning we head for the moors and the village of Goathland - featured as 'Aidensfield' in TV's Heartbeat. After a break, we make our way to the coast to the charming resort of Scarborough. Enjoy free time at leisure to explore the delightful promenade in the South Cliff Gardens. Why not amble down to the busy little harbour, amusements and beach of South Bay.
DAY 3: A free day to discover the varied attractions of Whitby. Whitby is a maritime town, fishing port and seafarer's haven, bursting with character and quite unique. We have time to wander the little alleyways and narrow streets, and perhaps climb the famous steps up to the ruins of Whitby Abbey.
DAY 4: This morning we leave for a day in the ancient and historic City of York. You'll find lots of things to see and do in York - the National Railway Museum, the Jorvik Centre, the Castle Museum, stroll around the city walls, wander around the excellent shops, explore the many quaint little alleyways and, of course, no visit to York is complete without seeing magnificent York Minster. Late afternoon, we return to Whitby.
DAY 5: After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
