In the Lake District lies a beautiful hotel called Shap Wells. Opened in 1833 with its glorious countryside setting, it is the perfect place to relax and take in the sites that the Lake District has to offer. The hotel is in a peaceful location with some great views. All bedrooms are ensuite and have television, radio, hairdryer and tea & coffee facilities. This hotel has a lift.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Depart from your home area, travelling to the Damson Dene Hotel in the Lake District for 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast.

DAY 2: This morning, after a leisurely breakfast, we are met by our guide who will join us on the journey to Lake Windermere for our first guided tour of the holiday, lasting approximately 2 hours. Afterwards, we will have free time to explore the town with plenty of photo opportunities. This afternoon, we shall visit Ambleside where we will be able to explore the town.

DAY 3: Our guide will meet us at the hotel to join us for the day as we travel to the North Lakes for a gentle stroll around Glenridding and Ullswater. Once again, there will be many extraordinary photo opportunities! From here, we will have a stop in Keswick for lunch and some free time. We then head for a stop in Penrith before returning to the hotel.

DAY 4: After a leisurely breakfast we travel to visit beautiful Kendal where you will enjoy free time to explore the town. Why not take this opportunity to sample some of there famous Kendal Mint Cake. In the afternoon we will continue travelling to Grasmere where on your journey you will see Helvellyn (England's third highest mountain at 3,118 feet) and various lakes.

DAY 5: We depart the hotel this morning and begin the journey home.

Please be aware all of our rooms are released back to the hotel approximately 4 weeks to the departure date. We recommend that you book atleast 2 months prior to the holiday to secure your booking.
