Itinerary
Day 1: Departing from your pick-up point, we will head for the Castletown Hotel, Thurso for a 3 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
Day 2: Today we will experience the magic of Orkney on this captivating day tour. Visit the ornate Italian Chapel and cross the historic Churchill Barriers with views over Scapa Flow. Step back in time at the Neolithic village of Skara Brae and explore the ancient Standing Stones of Stenness and the dramatic Ring of Brodgar, both part of a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Enjoy time in Kirkwall, where you can admire the striking St. Magnus Cathedral and soak in the charm of Orkney’s capital. A perfect blend of archaeology, wartime history, and island beauty.
Day 3: Explore Thurso at leisure before we head to the Castle and Gardens of Mey, once the much-adored home of the Queen Mother, who saved it from ruin in 1952. With glorious views across the Pentland Firth towards Orkney, the castle is kept as it was when the Queen Mother was in residence. No visit to this region would be complete without popping by to see John O’Groats, the iconic location with jaw dropping scenery.
Day 4: After breakfast we head for Dunrobin Castle for a short stop before heading home via our drop off points.
