Itinerary
DAY 1: Departing from your pick up point, we head to the Ben Wyvis Hotel for our overnight stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 2: After a leisurely breakfast we begin our journey to Orkney where we will be sailing from Gills Bay to St. Margarets Hope. Arriving on the Island we will have a short stop at the Italian Chapel, a famous catholic chapel built by Italian prisoners during World War II. We will then make our way to our hotel via a scenic drive crossing the Churchill Barriers and passing Scapa Flow. Arrive at the Albert Hotel for a 3 night stay bed and breakfast.
DAY 3: We will begin our day heading to the Standing Stones of Stenness, the oldest henge circle in the UK dating back over 5000 years. Following onto the Ring of Brodgar a spectacular Neolithic stone circle before making our way to Skara Brae. Over 5000 years ago Skara Brae was a thriving village, this attraction allows you to step back in time and explore this Neolithic settlement. Later in the day we head for Birsay where you will have the opportunity to visit Earls Palace and see the fantastic Atlantic coastline.
DAY 4: Today we head to Stromness a town boasting heritage and history enjoy some free time here before we head back to Kirkwall in the afternoon.
DAY 5: After breakfast, we will depart the hotel via a scenic drive to the ferry.
