The Willowbank Hotel, Largs 3*

The Willowbank is a comfortable hotel situated in the charming town of Largs, Ayrshire. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms, tea/coffee making facilities and a TV. This hotel doesn’t have a lift, however ground floor rooms are available on request.

DAY 1: Departing from your pick-up point, we will head for the Willowbank Hotel for a 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast.

DAY 2: Today we travel to vibrant Glasgow, where you’ll have free time to explore the city at your leisure. Discover world class museums, enjoy some shopping, or relax in one of the many cafés and parks. We will return to the hotel later in the day.

DAY 3: This morning we travel to Tarbet where you will enjoy a one hour circular cruise on Loch Lomond. Aboard this cruise you will learn the tales and history whilst sailing over the deepest parts of the Loch. We then head for a scenic drive to the ‘Bonnie Banks’ of Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, we will have a stop at the Lomond Shores before continuing onto the small village of Luss for some free time.

DAY 4: Departing in the morning we head for the Burns Cottage and Museum where the famous poet Robert Burns was born and lived until the age of 7. You will spend the morning here before departing early afternoon to head for the Whitelee Wind Farms. The Windfarm is the largest on shore windfarm in the UK and is home to 215 turbines. Enjoy a guided tour before heading to the visitor centre. We return to the hotel late afternoon.

DAY 5: After breakfast, we will set off on our homeward journey.

Please be aware all of our rooms are released back to the hotel approximately 4 weeks to the departure date. We recommend that you book atleast 2 months prior to the holiday to secure your booking.
