Loch Ness and Urquhart Castle

Itinerary

Departing early morning we head for Dochgarroch to join the sailing on Loch Ness. Enjoy wide views on the great glen and remember to keep and eye out for the famous Nessie! We then have some free time in Drumnadrochit. Here you will have the opportunity to purchase refreshments or have a browse round the local shops. In the afternoon we head to Urquhart Castle, one of Scotland’s most dramatic castle ruins overlooking Loch Ness.

• Please note there is a cafe on-site at Loch Ness. The boat also sells refreshments.

• Cruises from Dochgarroch are suitable for wheelchair users and people with restricted mobility.

• Urquhart castle offers good accessibility through its modern, fully accessible visitor centre however the histroic ruins themselves present challenges with uneven surfaces, steps and steep drops.

• Please note there is a small cafe at Urquhart Castle.
