Glenfinnan Viaduct & Mallaig

Itinerary

Departing early morning we make our first stop at the Spean Bridge Woollen Mill, where you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy a refreshment. We then continue to Mallaig, one of the main commercial fishing ports on Scotland’s west coast. You will have some free time to explore your surroundings at your leisure. Later, we take a scenic drive to the Glenfinnan Viaduct. Keep an eye out for the famous Jacobite Steam Train, as we may be able to catch a glimpse of it on our drive to the viaduct. We’ll enjoy a short stop here, giving you time to wander around the exhibition and perhaps catch a sighting of the train crossing the viaduct. Our final stop of the day is Fort Augustus, where you’ll have the chance to grab a quick bite or takeaway before we head home.

Extra Information

• The best views are from the hillside paths above the visitor centre, which require a short walk.

• Due to the paths being uneven we dont recommend this day trip for anyone with walking difficulties.
