Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from your home area travelling to The Salutation Hotel for a 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast. Enjoy a pre-dinner glass of bubbly and an evening of entertainment after dinner.
Day 2: After a hearty Scottish breakfast you can collect your festive quiz from reception. A fun prize for the winner be announced later in the week! We then head north to the popular town of Pitlochry. We have the morning free to enjoy the beautiful scenery, shops, museums and choose somewhere for lunch. In the afternoon we head to the famous Blair Athol Distillery for a guided tour and tasting and a chance to learn how their famous single malt is made. We return to the hotel for a Christmas Dinner with all the trimmings including crackers, hats and streamers followed by a quiz.
Day 3: This morning is free to explore Perth at leisure. There are great shops if you have gifts to buy or visit the Perth Museum, the new home for The Stone of Destiny. In the afternoon we have a scrumptious afternoon tea at the Royal George hotel Perth accompanied by a glass of fizz or gin. In the evening it’s back to the hotel for a carvery dinner followed by live music and a late bar.
Day 4: This morning we travel south to Edinburgh where you have a full day to explore the city. Perhaps visit the famous Edinburgh Castle, Scottish National Gallery or stroll down the Royal Mile. You could visit Camera Obscura and World of Illusions, try the Scotch Whisky Experience or simply indulge in a spot of Christmas gift shopping. Edinburgh is full of heritage, history and attractions to explore you’re bound to want to make a return trip! This evening it’s back to the hotel for ‘Hogmanay’ with a Scottish themed dinner, live entertainment and the announcement of the winner of the festive quiz.
Day 5: After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
