The Foxfields Country Hotel and Suites is situated near the village of Billington in the beautiful Ribble Valley. Leisure Club facilities include a heated indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym. All bedrooms are luxurious fully equipped suites, with ensuite bathrooms, interactive TV with movies and tea & coffee making facilities. This hotel does not have a lift.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Depart from your home area, arriving at the at Foxfields Hotel for a 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.
DAY 2: We begin our day with a visit to Gawthorpe Hall Garden, a seventeenth century house with a terraced garden and a woodland garden with rhododendrons and azaleas. Later we make our way to Riley Green Marina to board our narrowboat for a cruise along the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Our 2 hours canal cruise passes through beautiful countryside where you can take in Lancashire's nature and wildlife whilst enjoying an afternoon tea. A lovely relaxing afternoon!

DAY 3: Today, we travel to Bury where we can browse the world famous Bury Market. Often voted market of the year in Britain's favourite market, you'll find over 350 stalls to visit! Afterwards, explore Bury at leisure and perhaps take this opportunity to obtain lunch. We return to our hotel where we enjoy Cream Tea and time to relax before dinner this evening.

DAY 4: Today begins with a guided tour of the magnificent Samlesbury Hall, a half-timbered medieval house built in 1325 in the traditional black and white. We enjoy a scenic journey on our way to the famous Oswaldtwistle Mills shopping village. The iconic former weaving mill has over 100 retailers under one roof, as well as restaurants, an ice cream parlour, a craft centre, and even a Textile and Heritage Museum.

DAY 5: After breakfast we leave and head for home.
