Itinerary
Departing from your designated pick up point we head to Ballater for some free time where you can explore the area at your own leisure. We then head to Balmoral Castle where you can enjoy a tour of the surrounding areas and the castle gardens. Balmoral castle has been the Scottish home of the royal family since it was purchased in 1852 and is still a very popular vacation for the family today. We then head to the Boat Inn, Aboyne for a High Tea before returning home via our drop off points.

Please note the Balmoral Castle entry includes an audio guided tour which you can take at your own pace and only visits the castle ballrooms and other limited rooms.
The castle has a gift shop and restaurant.
Visitors this summer will be able to see the recent developments in the gardens, including the Thistle maze, Celtic maze garden and extensive new planting of trees, shrubs and topiary throughout.
You will be able to visit the Castle Ballroom where the Ghillies Ball, a tradition started by Queen Victoria and Prince Albert in 1852, still takes place every year.
