Itinerary
Day 1: Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to the Cairn Hotel, Harrogate for a 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast, plus ‘All-Inclusive’ package. Enjoy a welcome glass of fizz on arrival.
Day 2: Our first outing takes us to the city of York where you have the day to explore at your own pace. You could wander through the Shambles and perhaps visit the National Railway Museum or even the stunning York Minster. We return to the hotel late afternoon. A packed lunch is included today.
Day 3: This morning we head for Harewood House, one of the Treasure Houses of England, set in the heart of rural Yorkshire. The house holds an impressive art collection including renaissance masterpieces, and exquisite Thomas Chippendale furniture, all combined with 100 acres of gardens and a renowned lakeside bird garden. We will then return to the hotel for a light lunch of soup and sandwiches. The afternoon is then free to explore Harrogate at your own leisure.
Day 4: Today we head to Ripon, where the magnificent cathedral is well worth a visit. Today is market day in Ripon and you have a chance to browse the stalls set up in the market square before we head off along Nidderdale for a scenic ride via Summerbridge and Dacre. We return to the hotel for a light lunch followed by a final chance to explore Harrogate.
Day 5: After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
