The stunning Doubletree by Hilton Dunblane is one of Scotland’s most famous hotels. It is a beautifully restored Victorian-era property set in 10 acres of private grounds. Hotel facilities include indoor swimming pool, sauna, steam room and whirlpool. All bedrooms are en suite and have television and all the modern-day facilities you would expect from a hotel of this standard. The hotel has a lift.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to the Doubletree By Hilton Dunblane Hydro for 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast.

DAY 2: After breakfast we begin our journey to Glasgow city centre. You can spend the day at your leisure, enjoying all that this vibrant city has to offer in the build up to the festive seasons, including the Traditional Christmas Markets.

DAY 3: Our day begins with a ride to marvel at the Kelpies-the largest equine sculpture in the world, standing at 100ft tall. These iconic sculptures are not ones to be missed. We then head to The Falkirk Wheel which is the worlds one and only rotating boat lift. A Marvel of engineering connecting the forth and clyde canal with the union canal. We will enjoy a boat tour before heading back to our hotel later in the afternoon.

DAY 4: This morning we drive to Edinburgh's centre to enjoy our day at the Christmas Markets. Edinburgh is a true Winter Wonderland at Christmas time and its festive market is sure to delight. You'll find gifts galore, fantastic food and Christmas cheer aplenty. Take time to explore the markets, pick up some perfect presents and sample fine festive foods. If you've had your fill of shopping there are plenty of other options to keep you busy. Explore the Old Town, walk down the Royal Mile or head up to the castle.

DAY 5: After breakfast, we leave and head for home.
