Edinburgh Tattoo & Perth

Itinerary

DAY 1: Depart from your home area travelling to The Salutation Hotel for 3 nights stay bed and breakfast. On two evenings you will enjoy dinner at the hotel.

DAY 2: Late morning we drive across the Forth Road Bridge into the city of Edinburgh. The day is free to explore the capital city of Scotland. The city is dominated by the magnificent Edinburgh Castle. This ancient fortress built on a volcanic crag is the most visited attraction in Scotland. Dinner is not included tonight so guests are encouraged to take an early dinner in the city before taking their seats at the internationally renowned Edinburgh Tattoo. Expect anything and everything-from Highland dancers, fiddle players and steel bands, to martial arts performers and daredevil motorbike acrobatic displays. Not forgetting, a grand finale featuring a rendition of Auld Lang Syne with a spectacular firework display. It is a stunning event that gets bigger and better every year! (The Tattoo event will begin at 18.15hrs approx).

DAY 3: Our day begins with the Falkirk Wheel where we can enjoy a boat ride which lifts the boat up to join the Union Canal 35m above and sails smoothly from The Falkirk Wheel onto the Union Canal back to your starting point. This afternoon, we visit Stirling. Stirling is a city steeped in historic attractions and outstanding scenery. We include a visit to Stirling Castle, one of Scotland's most classically important sites.

DAY 4: After breakfast, we depart and head for home.

*Please note the drop off point for the Tattoo is a short walk from the castle and you may be required to walk up steps*
