DAY 1: Depart from your home area and travelling to the DoubleTree by Hilton Harrogate Majestic Hotel and Spa for a 4 nights stay dinner, bed and breakfast. Tea/coffee and biscuits served on arrival.
DAY 2: Spend the day relaxing and exploring delightful Harrogate at your leisure. Have a relaxing lunch in one of the many restaurants, cafes and bars or treat yourself to afternoon tea at the famous Betty's Tea Rooms. Enjoy some retail therapy in the Victorian Westminster Arcade or the independent boutiques of the Montpellier Quarter. Alternatively enjoy the make facilities the hotel has on offer.
DAY 3: Today we journey to the market town of Skipton, known as the 'Gateway to the Dales'. The High Street leads up to the church, behind which you see the impressive 900 year old castle and Skipton Woods. Today is also market day so you have a chance to grab a bargain or some local goods. Later we journey into the picturesque Yorkshire Dales, to Grassington. We stop here to enjoy the quaint cobbled market town and perhaps have a hot drink. We then journey through the Yorkshire Dales taking in the scenic views passing through the pretty village of Pateley Bridge, travelling over the moorland until we arrive at the city of Ripon. Why not take this opportunity to visit the cathedral or immerse yourself in the rich history of one of England's oldest cities.
DAY 4: Our day takes us to the historic cathedral city of York, the capital of Yorkshire, a beautiful city to explore. You could wander through the Shambles, and perhaps visit the National Railway Museum or even the stunning York Minster. This afternoon we return via a stop in Knaresborough. A pretty market that hosts a variety of shops to browse and tearooms to relax in.
DAY 5: After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home.
