Shap Wells Hotel (3) (Overnight)

The Shap Wells Hotel is set in tranquil surroundings amongst the Lakeland fells. The hotel offers well stocked bar, lounges and spacious restaurant. All bedrooms are en suite and have television, radio, hairdryer and tea & coffee facilities. This hotel has a lift.

Day 1

Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Northern England arriving late afternoon at the Shap Wells Hotel. Overnight stay - dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 2

Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Wales, arriving late afternoon at the Holiday Inn Cardiff. Four nights stay - dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 3

Our day begins with a journey along the beautiful Wye Valley to historic Monmouth for a short break. From here we head for Symonds Yat where we enjoy a cruise on the River Wye. Lunch
break today is in Ross-on-Wye and we return through the Forest of Dean to Lydney and Chepstow, our final stop of the day.

Day 4

This morning we make the journey to Bristol where we have the day free to explore this historic maritime city, home of Brunel’s magnificent ship, the SS Great Britain. Lunch today is not included and there are many opportunities in the city centre and around the harbour to relax and enjoy a drink and a bite to eat.

Day 5

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we head off to the fascinating Royal Mint Experience at Llantrisant where we can learn about how the coins we use every day are made. From here we head for the capital city of Cardiff. The city has lots to offer the visitor - the castle, the superb Millennium Stadium, the rejuvenated Cardiff Bay area with boat trips, cafes and bars.

Day 6

Depart from your home area in the morning travelling to Northern England arriving late afternoon at the Shap Wells Hotel. Overnight stay - dinner, bed and breakfast.

Day 7

After breakfast we leave and begin our journey home.
